Writing Opportunity-Journal of Canadian Studies

image The idea for the Journal of Canadian Studies/ Revue d'études canadiennes  remains faithful to its original mission: to provide a peer- reviewed, interdisciplinary, accessible, quarterly source of scholarship in both official languages about any aspect of Canada.

The mandate of the JCS/ REC is first, to publish the best scholarship about Canadian history, culture and society, whether the researcher is junior or senior, living in Canada or abroad; and second, to serve as a vehicle for disseminating solid, original research about Canada that falls between the cracks of more narrowly defined journals.
The JCS/ REC was the first scholarly journal of Canadian Studies. It continues to fill a distinct niche among Canadian Studies journals, many of which are association journals, and most of which serve both foreign contributors and foreign subscribers, viewing Canada from the outside. Our journal publishes primarily (but not exclusively) the work of Canadian scholars, disseminating their research to both foreign and Canadian subscribers. Readers can turn to journals of Canadian history, sociology, politics and literature for specific disciplines' understandings of Canadian topics, to international Canadian Studies journals for how others see us, and to the JCS/ REC for a wide range of multi- disciplinary and interdisciplinary research being done in this country.
The Journal of Canadian Studies/Revue d'études canadiennes is also a part of Project MUSE.
Project MUSE is a unique collaboration between libraries and publishers providing 100% full-text, affordable and user-friendly online access to over 300 high quality humanities, arts, and social sciences journals from various scholarly publishers.
